FAQs

Nobody wants to invest their money into an important design project with someone they don’t know, unless they’re confident they can trust them, and that what they’ll receive at the end of it will be worth the investment.
I completely understand – I would feel the same way! So, before you spend any of your cash and risk wasting your valuable time, I’ve covered the top 5 tough questions most clients want to know the answer to, but are afraid to ask…

How can you create the perfect design solution for my business when I don’t even know what I want?

Through my years of experience, working with businesses of all kinds, I have developed an insight into the fundamental needs of any business, no matter in which industry they operate.
I am therefore able to tailor a visual identity to match the aesthetic requirements of each business, so as to appeal to their specific audience, by gaining an understanding of their unique target market.
In short, it’s OK if you don’t know what you want, because, once we’ve had a decent chat, I’ll know what you need.

Why are your prices so low?

I’m able to offer significantly lower rates than most high-end design studios because I don’t have the overheads that come with running a larger concern, with rented offices and multiple employees.
I am a sole trader, working out of a small studio at the bottom of my garden, but this doesn’t reflect on the quality of my work at all. I could charge twice or three times my standard rates, but I don’t need to – and more importantly, I don’t want to.
I am committed to providing an affordable route for new and small businesses to access high quality design services, captivating logos, attention-grabbing branding solutions and great-looking marketing assets.

I doubt the quality of your designs is as good as you claim.

If you have any doubts as to the quality of my design work, I invite you to have a browse through my portfolio to see for yourself a few of the projects I’ve worked on. Then compare them to those of some of the popular online design services, as well as a few other studios whose rates are beyond your budget…
I’m confident you’ll see the difference in quality and attention to detail immediately – and I’ll look forward to working with you soon…

I have a great product/service and I know I need a logo and branding designed, but… I have no idea what to do with them after that!

Once I have created your logo and branding, there are a number of ways in which to apply them in order to promote your business. The optimal approach will depend on what you’re offering to your customers and the particular demographics of your target market.
However, there are tried and tested methods we can apply in order to figure out the best approach to reaching your potential clients – and to discover how to speak to them in just the right way to bring them into your world.
Then, it’s simply a matter of creating a range of marketing materials that will successfully achieve that goal.

What happens if I’m not happy with the design(s)?

I don’t settle for an ‘OK’ end product – and I never allow a client to leave with something their not proud of. But I’m not being conceited about my design expertise – I have a system which helps me to ensure a great result every time…
First of all, I insist on an in-depth consultation with you, the client, in order to be certain that both of us are perfectly clear about your needs and expectations.
Then I work closely with you throughout the conceptual, design and proofing phases, making sure that you’re pleased with what I’m doing at every stage and giving you ample opportunity to offer your own input, before moving on to the next phase.
By following these two simple rules, you and I can both have confidence in how the project is progressing, from start to finish, and that there will be no unpleasant surprises when you receive your final artwork.
In addition to this, I provide a failsafe of 3 full proofs for each job at no extra cost, meaning that you have two free sets of amendments, following the initial proof, allowing you to request any changes you wish before signing off on the final design.
If, however, you’re not completely satisfied after the third proof, you can still request changes to be made, but it will be down to my discretion as to whether I’ll apply them free of charge or add a fee for Author’s Corrections at the appropriate standard rate.
This approach has always proved valuable and fair to my many clients over the years and has resulted in a long list of very satisfied customers, who never fail to come back to me when they have need of my services for their next project.

If you think I’ve missed something off or you have any other questions you’d like to ask – tricky or otherwise – please feel free to get in touch; I’ll be happy to help!
